65 66 Instrument installation pic to make it easier

I struggled with the re-installation of my instrument console as you have to balance the panel on the column while fitting bulbs and connectors on short wires and read the diagram below at the same time.


To make it easier I made up this pic below.


This is a great link to Mustang Monthly where they go through 'Ford Mustang Instrument Panel Troubleshooting' to show you how all the gauges and senders work and how to test and adjust them.

Go in there a couple of times and you will remember most off by heart.
Unless someone has changed the original wire colours, it then becomes fun.

Would have been nice if it had a single plug like the later models. Yes, mine are dirty as well so hard to see the colours. I'll clean them up with a bit of prespsol or handcleaner and see how they go. Lucky I didn't screw it in yet, the voltage regulator decided to call it quits so I'll do the electronic conversion from the Tech section. (Just noticed the pic limks are dead, lucky I saved it a while ago in case I needed it - I'll let Hybrid know).
