Awkward reply page - emoticons take up too much space.

Post by StephenSLR »

When I reply and in this case start a new thread, the subject box is way over on the right hand side and I have to drag the slide bar to the right to move the page to the left so I can see the whole reply box.

I cant see the social media bar without sliding the page.

The emoticon section is too big and a nuisance. Is there any way to move this to the left, it's the least important part of the page and taking up the most space.

Many sites show a few emoticons then you can click 'More smiles' and it opens up a page to view them all.

+1 ......But once you click in the section and type it automatically pops accross and evens the page out ........you dont have to slide the slide bar over !

once you get used to that it's all good !!

Cheers

It's that "useless without pics" emoticon that causes it because its so wide.

I'm not sure how it decides which ones go in there. I might see if I can force it into the "more smilies" popup somehow.

It's never bothered me that much because I have a 24" monitor.

LOL, hilarious.

It may be an idea to have only 5 or so smilies, the most commonly used ones.

Laughing, thumbs, wink and a few more?

Fixed.

They may or may not be the best smilies to have in the first box, so if anyone has any suggestions (not including the useless without pics one ) for icons to appear in the reply window (without clicking more) let me know.

Nah - just really busy lately Mark,

Working on supplying product for 9 major hospital projects in Qld at the moment - so it's been a bit hectic. --- Totally amazing how many toilets , taps and basins that go into those projects …it would blow your mind apart.

The Hastie Group and St Hillers falling over has meant that a lot of other Plumbers that I deal with are jumping over each other trying to pick up what they can - this also adds to my work load. Times like this, I’m so glad we don’t sell direct !!

I may be off air for a while, I am also going in for a shoulder operation tomorrow , so if you don't hear from me after a week then your first thought might just be true ......either way if that were to happen , I’d be none the wiser so .......that’s life !!

What’s really sad is I’m looking at it - in the light of getting a bit of breathing space?

The down side of this operation is I will have my arm in a sling for 4-6 weeks - and wont be able to drive the Stang ...or any other car for that matter during this time. -----

--- That alone will kill me if nothing else does!!!

Still it will give me time to finalise our trip to the USA later this year – LA, Vegas, NY, Atlanta, Tampa then Home (maybe) - Looking forward to meeting up with Matt & Sheri (Shermatt)

Cheers
