JONN - Ranchero project

Post by jonn »

Not a Mustang but I needed a UTE.

Been looking for a while, found plenty of RUST-cheros and finally settled on a fairly straight, but in need of work 1963 Ranchero.

I intend to get it road worthy, and on the road and use it for now and worry about a full restoration at a future date. My restoration efforts are still focused on my 65 GT Mustang.

Cheers
Jon

Hey thats a nice ute Jonn. Going to tow the GT to shows with it?

I have a 66GT, I'd like a 64' falcon sprint in my garage too,

I can just see the Ranchero with:-

302 or 347 stroker c/w 4 x 2 webers and powerbulge bonnet
Plenty of under bonnet chrome
C6 with nice floor shift t-bar.
Discs all round
Mini tubs
Leather interior
Updated instrumentation with tacho and 10 stacker
Air and sunroof
Nice polished rear timber deck
Wheels of choice to suit disc setup
Rechromed everything
Magic pearl paint job
Headers with tuned length primaries and twin resonator outlets

Ah, the thoughts just go on and on............maybe a big block FE series?

Hi Ian,

Not going to go wild, but in the longer term there might be some changes but nothing radical.

Already made my first choice, 12 slotters instead of the standard rims.
