SO Sad my favourite actor comedian

Robin Williams found dead

Robin Williams has died, aged 63

Comedian Robin Williams has been found dead in his home in California, at the age of 63.

A statement from the assistant chief deputy coroner of Marin County announced on Monday that the division “suspects the death to be a suicide due to asphyxia, but a comprehensive investigation must be completed before a final determination is made.”

Williams’ wife Susan Schneider said in a statement: "This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken."

"As he is remembered, it is our hope the focus will not be on Robin's death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions," it read.

It’s reported Williams lived at his house in Tiburon, California with his wife and was last seen alive at 10pm the previous evening.

Williams' publicist has issued a statement to Entertainment Weekly.

Robin Williams had a career in comedy, TV, and films stretching back several decades.

“Robin Williams passed away this morning. He has been battling severe depression of late. This is a tragic and sudden loss. The family respectfully asks for their privacy as they grieve during this very difficult time,” the statement said.

Williams had a long history struggling with depression, and had dealt with alcohol addiction in the early 80s but had been sober for the past two decades.

He went back into rehab in the last few weeks, reportedly to deal with alcohol once again.

Williams had a career in comedy, TV and films stretching back several decades.

His most famous on screen moments include the TV sitcom Mork and Mindy (1978-1982), the 1993 hit comedy movie Mrs Doubtfire, and the 1997 drama Good Will Hunting with Matt Damon.

Funny man - too young
(PRAYER) Oh thank you Wild Turkey American Honey & Cola in those small thin bottles, for giving me the strength to act like a half wit, and say stupid things at inappropriate times, semi-anonymously, on a public forum.
Amen.

Pretty much. Someone posted it on another forum I frequent. It choked me up a bit I have to say. Thought I would share it here. I love much of Robin's work, but to me he will always be the Genie. My daughter loves Aladdin, I am not too sure how I will go next time we watch it.
