Marulan track day

Post by ozbilt »

Through a mutual friend of Gary (mustangpanels) & mine, we can hire the Marulan track for an event.

The facility is located in Marulan (halfway between Canberra & Sydney on the Hume Hwy & by all accounts a very interesting place.

Now we need to decide timing, numbers & what we want to play on. My first choice would be a driver training day, next time skid pan or whatever.

If held over the next couple of months, who would be interested? Also what would you like to do on the day?

Great way to learn driving in a LHD car while having little to hit! Possibly could be preceded with a safety check day at the ranch (the weekend before) where we put the Mustangs, that are going, up on the lift for a look at what makes them go round corners & stop. 8O

This would also be a great day for the daily driver if the Mustang is not on the road.

More info here on the circuit & facilities.....

They have bike days, but not the same day as cars.

However your roadie would be fun, I was thinking about taking the Hyundai as it is so much fun to throw around & has no value if it becomes part of the scenery....

Marulan ... ? Never heard of it.

But looks really interesting , must be new I take it.
Not a lot of run off in some places though ...

Skid pan would be fun and generally nothing to hit.

Cheers,
Frank.

The track has been there for a few years,Its is tight but by all accounts very good.

Pretty sure its ran buy Garry Willmington who has ran Bathurst a few times.

Yes Gary runs the track. He is known to our group & our contact has known him for many years.

I'd be up for it. Would definitely take the stang, though probably wouldn't give it too much stick. Unless by some miracle all my new suspension is on and sorted by that time. Sounds like a lot of fun though!
