fair point. I guess thicker would also be more prone to failure

So I have pulled the head again and saw these clean spots on cyl 8. There is no noticeable crack in the bore and the clean marks feel perfectly smooth, I am going to get this head pressure tested.

#7 piston looks a bit steam cleaned too
