What year is this steering box?

Looking at this steering box on fleebay and the code looks like C5ZR, but googling doesn't isn't helping much as they all seem to be C6ZR:

My 66 box is a bit sloppy and leaks, so looking at replacing the box if I can get a decent one.

Get yours rebuilt. They are inexpensive to do.

Mine is fairly worn, not just the bearings & seals.

There is a tag attached to one of the bolts on that box that can be used to correctly decode it. Ask for the details on the tag.

I'd be a bit wary of that box since the lock nut has been undone.

So does anyone have a 65/6 manual steering box laying around that they're willing to sell?

My box is about as sloppy as a Kardashian's once a camera is around.

If you can't find one locally, east coast mustang had a some years ago when I wanted one. Got it rebuilt for me too but it cost a couple of hundred if I remember correctly.
