So heres why you DONT use rislone sealant in your car.

I already posted what this stuff did to my tefba filter, but my car had started overheating on the freeway on a fairly cool day.
I was blaming the supercharger initially, and decided I would remove the twin 10" fans and shroud that I have had on the car since day one that has worked perfect and put a single big BF fan and shroud on it.

In the process of removing radiator hoses etc to fit it, I found this in the top of my radiator.

This is a 3k KM engine which was perfectly clean before I put this crap in the radiator to seal the head stud leak.
It definitely fixed the stud leak, but it is also trying to seal every other hole in the cooling system.

So I would suggest NEVER using this stuff, but if you must use it, drop your coolant and replace it as soon as it seals your leak.

Hopefully I can just remove the radiator and flush it backwards and most of this will come out.
I will do a complete flush of the engine too.

I've used it about 10 times Hybrid and never had an issue, with it clogging the rad, or over heating. Not once. Normally buy the copper one but have used the alloy one

That was the copper one. I don't know what to say about your past experience Shaun, but the proof is in the pudding (or picture) here as well as the previous tefba shots

Any chance you added too much hybrid, or is it just a add the whole bottle deal?

May hav been an adverse reaction between the sealant and the brand of coolant you had in the engine.
Over the years I've used the Wynns radiator stop leak numerous times and never had a reaction like you've had with that brand.

It said use 1/2 bottle for 4 cyl, and full bottle for anything else from memory.

Several reverse flushes of the radiator with the hose did not work.
Ironically, I have now bought Rislone radiator flush to try and flush out their shite from my radiator, but who knows if it will budge it.

I'm fitting the BF fan tonight, so I will try the flush tomorrow.
If it doesn't work, this debacle will cost me a radiator.

According to their website:
Works with All Types of Antifreeze or Water
And
Do I need to drain my cooling system after using Liquid Copperâ„¢?

No, this product is designed to be left in the cooling system to protect from future leaks.
It sure will protect from future leaks...

Wonder if contacting them or leaving feedback on their website would be worthwhile ?

Yeah doesn't look good. I hope the rest of the engine is ok and it is not wearing away the impeller on your water pump.
As ants said get in touch with the company and see what they say even if the rad flush does work it will still be interesting to see what they come back with.

I hate to add to your concerns but if it cannot be cleared does it mean your AC heat exchange is also clogged?

I will someday think of something clever to say.

Not adding to my concerns - its already on the list to check, but that will be easier to reverse flush with pressure so not as worried.
Plus i can just wear a jumper ;)
