Might be nice in the longer term but I will wait and see how she goes before adding more mods. I am probably getting a bit ahead of myself anyway as I have to work out how to get all this goes back in the car yet and that will be difficult enough without any extra added modifications. I haven't done any of this before so it could be a challenge. :?

Does anyone know if the mail in rebate offered on eaton parts is valid in oz. All I can read on the terms and conditions is "offer good on purchases made within the USA and Canada only" so if buying from summit would I qualify? Might have to try and get a true trac for my birthday if I do.

You had linked the the 8.8 diff rear, e.g. later mustangs.

Here is the link for your 8 inch rear

Ask summit about any rebates (if available) they can be very helpful.
I will someday think of something clever to say.

Thanks Boof. I could only see the ford 8.8 and 9 inch options, now I see the show all option. :bash:

I have been doing a bit more research on rebuilding the diff and seem to be finding a bit of conflicting info on how much pressure or load to set up on the carrier bearing. A few say just snug it up others say to put a lot of pressure on it. Any tips from guys that have done it before?
