T5 bell housing swap

Post by nassi »

I have a T5 from an AU xr8 and would like to swap the bell housing to a LHD unit.
Is there a direct swap available?

I would think any 87-05 5.0 5 speed Mustang and any Manual 5.0 Explorer bellhousing would do the job.

Hey mate, I put a picture up in the other thread. The other thing you need to be careful about is the extension housings. The 6cyl T5's have a longer extension housing, so the shifter hole has to be moved back on the mustang. Pretty sure the xr8 t5's have a shorter extension housing, so may not be a drama.
