Yeah pretty sure mine is 24" too.
Wasn't too hard to fit the big fan.
As you can see, I just used some square tube from bunnings. Screwed that to the backet on the side, then screwed the shroud to that.
Some minor cutting around hoses etc. The fan measures about 17.5" diameter from memory. It has two speeds.
I bring the slow speed on full time with my aircon. And full speed for cooling when required.

I just had a look at the Davies Craig site to get some examples.
A 12" fan moves 847cfm. A 16" Fan moves 2100cfm. I know an 18" moves over 3000 so your 2 small fans is doing your radiator a disservice.

A large single fan will cover more area than the two singles also.
What you have to be careful of with fans is not to just look at the CFM ratings. Most are tested with nothing in front of them. If the motors are crap, as soon as you put a radiator in front of them, they won't have the amps to be able to draw enough air through the radiator.
If you get a BF/FG single fan like Hybrid has, you are laughing. I am upgrading my dual AU fans to a single BF/FG fan. Not that I need to, but for 70 bucks who cares.
I can also recommend the Flowkooler high flow water pumps. I had good results with mine on a previous motor.

I will also check the temp with a infared therm just to see if the guage or sender is to blame

can I remove the switch block and run the fan at full speed as I am going to run the fans for ac on a relay that's already in and wired and the rad fan on the other relay that's already in and wired up

Are you talking about the BF fan?
There's 3 wires: Earth, low speed, high speed.
I have mine wired so a/c brings on low speed, ECU (coolant temp) switches high speed.
So yes you could bypass low speed and just hook up the earth and high speed wires.

Yeah just keep in mind that a single motor will be deepest at the water pump pulley.
Dual fan motors go either side of it.

if its not too much bother a pic in behind where the pully is ,I have ordered a fan see how it fits or what I have to do when it gets herei onky have about 115 between the rad and pully bolts so a tight fit any pics you could send would be good also

I can get dual EF falcon twin fan depth later in the weekend if you need. Will just need to clear everything sitting on the bonnet first.

so can I remove that little silver box on the back and hook straight up to the wire or does it need that resistor thingy. just looks like a good place to mount my fan control
