Mystery part of the month?

Post by mungus »

Can anyone ID these cushioned brackets?
They don't fit my 68' big block mustang nor does web or mustang shop searching reveal any photos of parts that look similar.
No makers marks nor PN's that I could find.

They look to me kinda like lower radiator mounts, the rubber is quite soft and about the right size for a smaller car's lower radiator tank, and the brackets look like they are meant to bolt on to a frame rail or some such.

Any learned folks here care to hazard a guess?
At least that way I have a chance of them finding a home.

Definitely lower rad mounts and look Ford. My guess would be Mustang II as they are not angled to sit on the strut rod bracket.

Thanks Kerry, Ford was my feeling too.

I'll have a look under Mustang 2 as there were some later mustang bits in a box in the trunk of this car when I got it. Worth nothing out here but ta least I might be able to ID them in case someone needs them.

Well no luck with the Mustang 2 idea...
Any other guesses?
They do look Ford to me.
